Former Tottenham Hotspurs defender Jan Vertonghen has joined Benfica on a three-year deal. The Belgian joins the Portuguese giants as a free agents after his contract expired.
The centerback who can sometimes can be deployed as a leftback made over 300 appearances for Tottheham. He established himself as one of the finest defenders in the English Premier League.
