HARRY MAGUIRE GIVEN SUSPENDED SENTENCE AFTER GUILTY VERDICT

England and Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has been found guilty on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and repeated attempts of bribery. The player was then given a suspended sentence.


Maguire who still insists on his innocence said after the verdict. "I have instructed my legal team 
with immediate effect to inform the courts we will be appealing. I remain strong and confident regarding our innocence in this matter - if anything myself, family and friends are the victims".

Harry Maguire was later dropped from the England squad after been initially included by England boss, Gareth Southgate.

Maguire was given a three-year jail sentence but it was susppended because it is a first offence and the charges were misdemeanors.

Harry Maguire, Joe Maguire (his brother) and Christopher Sharman were arrested on Thursday, 20th August, in Greece after an incident involving the police.
