SEVILLA WIN THE EUROPA LEAGUE

Spanish side Sevilla have won this year's UEFA Europa League after their 3-2 victory against Inter Milan in the finals. It makes them the record holders of the competition with five titles.

Inter Milan began the game very well.and took the lead through Lukaku who scored a penalty he won against Diego Carlos. But former Newcastle United player Luuk De Jong scored in the 12th minute and on the 33rd minute to give Sevilla the lead. However, Diego Godin equalised for Inter Milan three minutes later. The first half ended 2-2.

The second half was not as entertaining and frantic as the first half. Both teams were guilty of squandering some half decent chances. In the 74th minute, Diego Carlos who many believe was lucky to still be on pitch had his overhead kick deflected into the net by Lukaku gave the Spanish side the lead. The goal was awarded as a Lukaku own goal.

Inter tried everything to stage a comeback but it was going to be a night for Sevilla won their fifth Europa League trophy.

Speaking after the game, Inter Milan manager cast some serious doubt on his future as the club manager, “We're going to meet next week with the club and we'll decide about my future. I'm not sure that I'll be the Inter manager next season, we'll decide together,” he told Sky Italia.

He later added, "Inter will plan the future with or without me."
