Gabriel joined Lille in 2018 from Dinamo Zagreb. The Brazilian is now a wanted man this summer after his impressive displays this season. The 22-year old is 6 ft2 and left footed. He is a good tackler and reads the game fairly well. His passing ability as a defender is quite impressive.
So far this summer, Gabriel has been the subject of interest from clubs in the Premier League who are looking for defenders.

The defensive frailties of Arsenal are well documented. The arrival of Saliba should fairly improve matters but Arteta would know that more competent bodies are needed at the back. Koulibaly's future at Napoli has been as questioned this summer after he was heavily linked to Manchester City and PSG.
At Everton, Carlo Ancelotti is said to be a huge admirer of the player and was desperate for him to join Everton during the January Transfer window. At Manchester United, Solskjaer is keen to bring in a pacy left-footed centerback and Gabriel Magalhaes is said to be one of the players targeted.
Numerous reports floating round suggest Arsenal are the leading the race for his signature. Lille have made it known that the player would be sold at the right price. This looks a transfer that may drag on for a while.
